Vintage Dior and scrappy leggings- OOTD

My outfits are becoming gradually more and more comfy and revision based, and less fashiony... But I just had to share this vintage find with you all! It's a vintage Christian Dior patterned silk shirt which I found in the Oxford Vintage Fair, and for only £15 it doesn't matter that it's massive, or that the sleeves are kind of funny... I'm so happy with it!
I paired it with these scabby leggings and my vans for an outfit which is easy to move around in, and sunglasses just in case of more sun! I also rolled the sleeves up and pinned them myself, as long/short sleeves aren't that flattering on me...

Lacy summer dress and a denim jacket - OOTD

I think we can all agree that summer is (or at least at the time of photo taking, was) finally here! I've been enjoying revising out in the sun (the sun is what I've been enjoying, not the revision) and I'm loving the summery smells which are all around everywhere.
I even used suncream today - say what?! Deciding to head out for a run the other day around 2pm was not the smartest decision on my part either. Did someone say hottest part of the day? Whoops. At least my dress is pretty.
I found this dress when scouring the racks at Urban Outfitters on Fifth Avenue. (yes, I really did just bring back the NYC trip). It was $69, which I know seems like a lot, but I think it's a good investment piece. I'm envisaging smart summer events with wedges, winter occasions with tights, and casual school days like this one.
I've also experimented with a little plait in my hair. I think that next time I'll need to use some texturising spray, because my just-conditioned hair proved a little slidey for the bobble... Shall we just call it boho chic and leave it at that?
I decided to keep this outfit as simple as possible, as when it gets hot, nobody wants accessories and all that flying about the place. The only essential is a pair of sunglasses! I bring a pair everywhere I go - if anybody is interested in a what's in my bag post, then please comment below!

So, to conclude this ramble, I love summer and I'm happy and as soon as exams are out of the way I'll literally jump for joy! How has everyone been enjoying the weather?

An entirely ebay'd outfit - OOTD

Yes, you did read that title correctly. This entire outfit is from ebay (well, the t shirt, maxi and shoes anyway) and the sunglasses were highly discounted from Century 21! The summery weather we've been having has been amazing, if not highly unproductive for revision purposes...
Until I go on a holiday, I'm rocking the maxi look pretty much every day - there's nothing like a lovely way to hide the extreme paleness of my translucent skin! This was an ebay find, when I was desperately searching for a suitable long skirt for orchestra concerts. I picked up a black one and a grey one, but am tempted to go back and find the store again for more colours - for £3.99 you really can't go wrong!
I've also featured the t shirt in a previous post, but I think I was wearing dungarees, so you couldn't actually see it... Awkward? I love the Brian Lichtenberg t shirts, but at £61 a pop, they're definitely over my budget! I think that this is really cute and funny, and I'm a huge fan of the foresty green colour.
We've also brought out the BBQ, so I've been enjoying long sunny evenings with the family and some Pimms... Could I be any more British? What are your favourite things about summer?

Hi-lo and a tied up shirt - OOTD

I've got a slightly different background in my photos today... I mean they're still in my garden/driveway area, but in a different part. What do you think of it? Better? Worse?
My stinky dog decided to make another appearance too here, so all say hi to Louis! On a more clothes-related note, I bought this dress waaay back in October in New Zealand in a shop called Supre, I think it was about $8, so if it falls apart after one wear, I won't be too distraught!
In the general schoolwear debate of long/short skirts, whoever invented the hi-lo skirt deserves a knighthood. I love how that although my dress is made of the comfiest jersey material ever, it looks a lot more dressy than what it is, whilst still maintaining its casual vibe.
Here's an odd question: how do people feel about the knotted shirt? I wasn't sure, but the loose shape of the dress certainly called for some more structure, thus the nipped-in waist attempt. Good shout, or do I look like a kid dressing up on world book day or something?
